Terms of Service
Effective date: November 01, 2025
Welcome to the website and services of Varuna Joshi (“we”, “our”, “the Practitioner”). These Terms of Service (“Terms”) describe the rules that govern your use of our website, booking system, teletherapy and in-person therapy services, workshops, digital products and any other services we provide (collectively, the “Services”). By accessing or using our Services you agree to be bound by these Terms.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By using our website or booking or receiving Services you accept and agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Services.
2. Who can use the Services
-
You must be at least 18 years old to book or receive therapy unless a parent/guardian explicitly arranges and consents to therapy for a minor.
-
You confirm you are legally capable of entering into a binding contract and are accessing the Services for lawful purposes.
-
If you are booking for someone else (a minor or a person under guardianship), you must be the lawful guardian and provide accurate information.
3. Our Services — scope & nature
-
We provide psychological therapy, counselling, coaching and related mental health services, both in-person and via telehealth.
-
Therapies and coaching offered vary in approach; the content on the website describes the general nature of those approaches but does not guarantee specific outcomes.
-
Therapy is a collaborative process. Results depend on many factors including your participation, consistency and the nature of issues presented.
4. Booking, Fees & Payment
-
Consultation/session fee: INR 1,200 per session (or such fee as displayed at booking time).
-
Booking requirement: Payment of the session fee must be made before booking is confirmed. After payment, please share a screenshot of the payment to the designated WhatsApp number to confirm your booking.
-
Payment methods: as displayed on the booking page (UPI, bank transfer, payment gateway or other methods).
-
We may change fees from time to time; new fees apply only to bookings made after the fee change.
5. Cancellations, Rescheduling & Refunds
-
Cancellation by client: If you need to cancel or reschedule, please notify us at least 24 hours before the scheduled session to avoid forfeiting the session fee.
-
Late cancellation/no-show: Cancellations made less than 24 hours before a session or failure to attend may result in loss of the session fee (unless otherwise agreed).
-
Refunds: Refunds are issued only at our discretion and in accordance with our refund policy. For prepaid packages, refunds and partial refunds will follow the package terms as communicated at purchase.
-
We may cancel or reschedule sessions due to practitioner unavailability or emergencies; in that case you will be offered an alternative time or a refund.
6. Teletherapy (Online Sessions)
-
Teletherapy is provided via secure video/audio platforms. You must have a stable internet connection and a private, safe space to participate.
-
Teletherapy has limitations (technical interruptions, privacy risks). If sessions cannot proceed safely via teleconference, we may recommend in-person sessions or alternative arrangements.
-
By using teletherapy you consent to receiving services remotely and accept the risks associated with transmission over the internet.
7. Confidentiality & Limits
-
We treat client information as confidential and will not disclose details except as required by law or as described below.
-
Limits to confidentiality include:
-
Risk of harm to self or others (duty to act).
-
Suspected abuse or neglect of a child, elderly person or dependent adult.
-
Court order or other legal obligations.
-
Where you give written permission to share information.

For administrative/booking purposes we collect minimal personal information; our Privacy Policy explains what we collect, how we use it and how it is protected. (Make sure a separate Privacy Policy page is available and linked.)
8. Client Responsibilities
-
Be honest and provide complete information relevant to the therapy process.
-
Attend sessions on time, follow agreed plans, and inform us promptly of cancellations or changes.

Seek emergency services or local crisis support if you are in immediate danger — do not rely on scheduled therapy sessions for crisis intervention.
9. Health & Medical Information
-
Therapy does not replace medical or psychiatric treatment. If you are under medication or receiving treatment from another health professional, inform the practitioner.
-
If you experience a medical or psychiatric emergency, contact emergency services or your local crisis line immediately.

You agree to indemnify, defend and hold harmless the Practitioner and affiliated staff from any claims, liabilities, losses, damages and expenses arising from your breach of these Terms or your misuse of the Services.
